Dental Assistant
                   (Three and a half Quarters)

The Dental Assistant program is established following the guidelines  of the
Louisiana Dental Practice  ct and the American Dental Assistants Association.  
Graduates  are  qualified  to  work  in  governmental   dental  clinics,  the 
dental insurance industry or in dental practice administration. Graduates are 
eligible to take the  examination  for  certification  given  by  the  Dental  
Assisting National  Board,  sanctioned  by  the  American  Dental Association 
as the  credentialing  agency  for dental assistant  competence. Each  dental  
assistant employed in direct patient  care  delivery  works under  the direct  
supervision of  a licensed  dentist.
